As an MRI Technologist you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages healthbackgroundsand conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortablesafeand properly informed throughout the entire process helpingfacilitatea welcoming and supportive this role you have access to a unique avenue in which to enhance your skills using the latest technologies and leave a positivelasting impressionon patients every day.
A caregiver in this positionworksday/evening rotation 6:30am3:30pm or 10:30am7:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Acquireand review patientquestionnairechartand data/requisitiontodeterminecontraindication of having MRIexamination.
Perform MRI proceduresper protocol and perform daily QA.
Educate patientsregardingMRI procedures equipment and exams.
Ensure patients comfort and safety during and after the exam.
Report any malfunctions andobservepotential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.
Processes billing via RIS.
Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(T)(ARRT) in good standing OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T.(MR)(ARRT) Certification within one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)orAmerican Red Cross
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or in other imaging modalities
Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
