Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our customers responsible for providing excellent service ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining a friendly shopping environment. This role is vital in delivering a seamless checkout experience and promoting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed throughout the checkout process.
- Operate cash registers and handle various forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
- Scan items and ensure pricing is correct applying discounts and promotions where applicable.
- Issue receipts refunds or change to customers as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to create a welcoming environment.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly escalating issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications :
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
