Who were looking for:

The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology (DLMP) in Seattle WA has a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Technician 2 with the Purchasing Team.

Join DLMP at the Renton Central Laboratory to play a key role in supporting the logistics that keep research and testing operations running smoothly. This position is exciting because it offers hands-on involvement in coordinating laboratory equipment deliveries supporting scientists and lab teams with critical supplies and helping build operational processes in a new and expanding facility. Our team values collaboration reliability and operational excellence and the work we do helps enable research and laboratory services that ultimately support UW Medicine patients.

Work schedule:

  • 100% FTE
  • Monday - Friday including holidays and weekends as needed
  • Day shift

What youll contribute:

Receiving & Inventory Support

  • Receive and process incoming laboratory supplies consumables and equipment.
  • Verify shipments against purchase documentation and inspect for damage.
  • Deliver materials todesignatedlab locations.
  • Record receipt of goods in the procurement system.
  • Maintain an organized and safe dock and receiving area.
  • Coordinate directly with laboratory leadsregardingdeliverytiming and handling preferences.
  • Performadditionaldock and logistics-related duties as assigned to support facility operations

Equipment Delivery Coordination

  • Coordinate and support delivery of laboratory equipment.
  • Escort vendors for white glove deliveries to final room placement.
  • Receive inspect and safely transport non-white glove equipment deliveries.
  • Communicate with Directors and lableadsregardingequipment arrival and placement readiness.
  • Report discrepancies or damage to Purchasing and site leadership.

Vendor & Service Support

  • Assistwith vendor access for scheduled services.
  • Coordinatelogisticswith Program Operations Specialist Directors and laboratory leads.
  • Provide on-site operational support during service visits.
  • Support continuity of building operations as the facility grows.

Mail & Package Operations

  • Accept and sort internal and external mail.
  • Deliver clearlyidentifiedpackages to laboratory locations.
  • Manage outbound shipment staging area.
  • Maintain organized mail distribution areas.
  • Communicate with labs and site leadership regarding unidentified or time-sensitive deliveries.

Operational & Building Support

  • Serve as an operational support resource for the Renton Central Lab.
  • Assistwith special projects internal moves and logistical needs.
  • Provide cross-divisional support to laboratory teams as operational needs arise.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day building operations.

What youll need:

High school graduation or equivalent AND six (6) months of supply chain experience.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.

Desired qualifications:

  • Knowledge of general office equipment suchfaxmachines copy machines and printers.
  • Ability to work in a busy high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to include coworkers management and clinical partners.
  • Demonstratedproficiencyin customer service and problem-solving.
