We aspire to aid the growth of our company by welcoming the most qualified and deserving candidates aboard. We are currently seeking aPriorAuthorizationCoordinatorto support our Imaging Department and help ensure timely accurate approvals for diagnostic services across our network of clinics.
Responsibilities:
  • Request prepare and submit all necessary documentation to obtainpriorauthorizations for imaging services such as CT MRI and Ultrasound.
  • Ensure insurance carrier requirements are met to reduce denials and delays in imaging services.
  • Prioritizeauthorizationrequests according to urgency and appointment timelines.
  • Follow up with insurance companies to track the status of pendingauthorizations.
  • Submit appeals for denied imagingauthorizations with appropriate clinical justification.
  • Communicateauthorizationupdates to clinic teams and patients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Verify accuracy of CPT and ICD-10 coding in patient charts relevant to imaging studies.
  • Document all activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) system in real-time.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with imaging-relatedpriorauthorizations required.
  • Strong knowledge of medical insurance carriers and imaging guidelines (commercial Medicaid and Medicare).
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes specific to imaging procedures.
  • Previous experience in a primary care or specialty clinic is highly preferred.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or a similar EMR system is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and time management abilities.
