Job Summary
The Seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep of the property grounds including picking up trash lawn maintained seasonal upkeep and basic mechanical abilities for property equipment.
Responsibilities
- General knowledge of pesticides herbicides and fertilizers used in landscaping and turf systems
- General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems
- Must be able to operate mower trimmers snow blowers vacuums power washers and all gardening tools
- Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
- Excellent customer and employee relations skills
- Must be able to read speak and write the English language
- Valid Drivers license with clean MVR
- Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
- Read write and understand complex instructions and appropriately complete all necessary documentation
Effective communication skills
Organize and run special projects to ensure their proper completion
Must consistently have a good attitude be friendly outgoing provide excellent guest service and always work well with fellow employees
Maintain regular predictable attendance in accordance with policy
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must be able to obtain a Nebraska gaming license
- Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
- Background working knowledge with small engines and general maintenance and repairs
- Must be able to work in climates for all seasons to include heat over 100F and to include temperatures below 30 FMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
Ability to bend stoop twist reach and kneel repetitively
Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
