Job Summary
ABM/ABLE is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Las Vegas Nevada!
Responsibilities
BASIC FUNCTION
In this role you will assist the Engineering team with all activities concerned with the general operation and maintenance work of the mechanical electrical and craft services and working team member within these functions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles special work assignments and trouble calls.
- Adhere to quality levels and standard practices for all work performed.
- Learn and follow appropriate safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections report findings and report to the Facilities Lead
- Perform any additional duties as directed by the Facilities Lead such as lighting restroom plumbing equipment etc.
- Performs basic functions that may include: plumbing mechanical painting drywall repair and safety.
Overall responsibility for the following functions and tasks:
Operation of:
- The Maintenance Technician will perform the following duties:
- Repair/replacement of lamps ballasts drivers.
- Repair/replacement of restroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures.
- Assist with mechanical preventative maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with landscaping/janitorial and assist when/where needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area(s).
- Identify best practices regarding MT duties and discuss with Lead regularly.
- Maintain a clear line of written and verbal communication with Lead
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two plus years experience in production and/or warehouse preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
- Able to solve problems using trouble shooting skills.
- Understand the basic skills needed for guest room maintenance.
- Responsible for the safety of him/her self and others.
- Knowledge of MSDS Occupational hazards and applicable safety hazards.
- Knowledge of basic methods and practices used in preventative maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to safely operate power tools including drills saws grinders and impact drivers per safety and PPE requirements.
- Must read write and communicate effectively in English including work orders manuals and safety documentation.
- Ability to receive document and close work orders accurately including materials labor and work performed.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ability to navigate computers and software to access assignments and maintenance management systems.
- Experience using a CMMS or ticketing platform to receive update and close service requests.
- Familiar with maintenance operations and safety standards in commercial building environments.
- Experience in a warehouse or industrial setting with knowledge of applicable safety protocols.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain aerial lift certification including scissor and boom lifts per OSHA standards.
