Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist Opportunity in Richmond VA

Join a dedicated team at a leading facility located in Richmond Virginia! You will work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic setting that includes inpatient outpatient and clinic environments. This position offers the chance to provide quality care to adult and geriatric patients while supporting the needs of the community during a transition period.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and treat adult and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide support to the existing cardiology team during recruitment of a new physician.
• Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) as part of patient assessment and care.
• Supervise a team of 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
• Perform hospital admissions averaging 12-15 per day.
• Participate in call rotations including nights and weekends.
• Document patient information using the EPIC EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Board-Certified in Non-Invasive Cardiology.
• Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) and Advanced Heart Failure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle a varied patient caseload effectively.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold a valid and active Virginia medical license.
• Current ACLS certification.
• AHF Fellowship with LVAD experience.
• DEA certification.
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) certification required.
• Clean background check as temps can be offered.
• A Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days at the time of presentation.
