We are seeking an experienced OR Scrub Techto join a Surgical Services team in a critical access hospital setting. This role supports procedures across pre-op operating room and recovery areas with a focus on endoscopic general/laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented adaptable and thrives in both independent and team-based environments while delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Prepare and set up surgical instruments and equipment for procedures
Review upcoming cases and ensure adequate supply inventory
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during procedures
Perform surgical counts before and after procedures to ensure accuracy
Assist with patient positioning and transfers to and from the surgical table
Clean and process endoscopy equipment as needed
Support room turnover efficiently (approx. 30 minutes for surgery 15 minutes for endoscopy)
Assist with stocking restocking and organizing surgical supplies
Prepare cases for the following day
Maintain a clean and safe surgical environment
Provide support across various surgical areas as needed
Required Qualifications
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (NBSTSA or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience
Required experience in:
Endoscopy procedures
General and laparoscopic surgeries
Orthopedic surgeries
Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
