Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg
Location: Elmhurst NY 11373
Schedule: 3 days/week 11.5-hour shifts
Hours: 34.5 hours/week

Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills recent Med/Surg experience and the ability to care for a diverse patient population including pre- and post-operative patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion/therapy catheter placement and wound care/dressing changes
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition reporting changes promptly
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Adhere to all nursing standards protocols and infection control guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS certification
• AHA ACLS certification (required for Queens location)
