Technical Sales Engineer Team Lead
TheGeorge E. Booth Co. is a family-owned and operated industrial automation salescompany looking to hire their next full-time Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) TeamLead.
TheGeorge E. Booth Co. is a major distributor of process instrumentation productscontrols and related services to customers in Illinois Indiana KentuckyOhio and Tennessee. Founded in 1963 George E. Booth Sr. recognized thatthere would be a natural evolution in the development of products for theindustrial process instrumentation field.
Theideal candidate will engage in all levels of customer experience to fullydevelop an understanding of customer needs and maintain open channels ofcommunication with both internal and external partners to ensure all customerneeds are met. The TSE Team Lead will monitor the workload and balance of theteam to operate efficiently while also fostering a learning environment thatallows team member growth.
Positionis bound primarily to a standard office desk station with occasional travel tolocal territory during normal business hours. A clean driving record isrequired. This role comes with a competitive compensation plan bonus structureand as well as excellent benefits. All candidates must be legally authorized towork in the United States.
Responsibilities for the TSE Team Lead
- Responsible for training and mentoring regarding day-to-day activities.
- Monitor and approve select team members PTO and training scheduling.
- Involvement in the hiring process for new team members.
- Supervise and assist customers with selection of products based on the scope of project needs through various applications prepare quotations and follow-up on status.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical products that may include but are not limited to concepts of pressure flow level etc.
- Troubleshoot situations with customers to analyze and interpret any problems customers may encounter.
- Oversee orders into ERP system and Salesforce to help the Technical Sales team.
- Document quotation and follow-up through Salesforce/ERP system.
- Position will be required to process all orders through GEBCO ERP system and manufacturer order system.
- Responsible for day-to-day decisions related to pricing and overall customer care within the companys established parameters.
- Position will coordinate and communicate regularly with outside sales team to fully develop accounts within designated sales territory.
- Interaction with customers on-site may be required at times.
- Necessary to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.
Requirements for theTSE Team Lead
- Bachelors degree in technical field (electrical engineering etc.) or equivalent work experience in technical field required.
- Attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to work independently or with a team are a must for success in this role.
- Results-driven personality a plus.
- Strong communication skills whether written verbal or otherwise required especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
- Must be willing to travel locally with occasional overnights.
- Minimum 2 years experience in technical field with customer service or similar.
- Minimum 2 years experience in supervisor/managerial role.
