Equip Maint Technician 2. (onsite Role)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
Key responsibilities include PC deployment and troubleshooting basic networking and mechanical tasks associated with handling prerelease and cutting-edge systems. The work involves receiving new equipment building and deploying PCs performing periodic maintenance troubleshooting issues and completing occasional physical tasks such as moving boxes and storing equipment.
The role requires flexibility and the ability to reprioritize work as demands change. Initial interviews will be conducted virtually with optional in-person meetings for local candidates.
The technician position is designed to support both hardware and software needs for an engineering organization.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
It calls for strong PC knowledge troubleshooting skills familiarity with software and basic IT networking experience. The technician will primarily support the intake and deployment of prerelease systems not available to the public.
Responsibilities include assembling PCs troubleshooting system issues deploying systems to lab environments and performing hands-on physical tasks. Mechanical aptitude is considered helpful due to the need to work with sensitive and specialized equipment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Deployments are supported by engineering teams prior to release to labs for validation. A full deployment cycle may take about a month from intake to lab delivery. Work volume varies significantly requiring adaptability during both high-demand and slower periods.
The role is intended for a versatile jack-of-all-trades technician with a mix of electronics networking and mechanical skills. Experience as a PC technician or IT support technician is considered useful but candidates at various experience levels may be considered.
It is a first-shift position (preferred start time between 79 a.m.) with flexible hours.
