Job Summary
The Applications & Engineering Manager leads a team of Applications Engineers to drive technical excellence project execution and revenue growth. This is a player coach roledeveloping people while staying actively engaged in key opportunities and customer interactions. Success in this role means stronger execution higher win rates and deeper penetration within our Top 5/Top 10 accounts.

Primary Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead coach and develop Applications Engineers
Set clear expectations around urgency responsiveness and technical quality
Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews
Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Project Execution
Oversee project flow from concept quote execution
Ensure accuracy in scoping quoting and delivery
Identify and remove roadblocks early
Drive consistency in engineering and quoting processes
Sales Engagement
Support and engage in high-value and strategic opportunities
Partner with Sales on Top 5/Top 10 account growth
Help position value-driven engineered solutions
Protect margin through strong technical and commercial alignment
Technical Leadership
Serve as escalation point for complex applications
Maintain expertise across key automation technologies
Ensure solutions align with Ramco standards and partner capabilities
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- 7 years in industrial automation or related field
- Leadership experience in a customer-facing environment
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Valid drivers license with acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
