Job Summary

Are you interested in leading high impact projects and working cross-functionally to deliver top selection and delight end Customers This is your chance to help build strategic relationships and drive business growth with some of the most influential Consumables Selling Partners. Supply Chain Managers will play a critical role in delivering optimal customer experience by ensuring Amazon has the right product quantities in the right places and at the right time. This position will work to continuously optimize operational metrics by working directly with vendors and partner teams. Supply Chain Managers serve as a key point of contact between Retail Supply Chain and Vendors and contribute to vendor-level operational strategy annual negotiations and opportunities to reduce cost and waste in the supply chain.

Key job responsibilities
Plan and execute inventory strategies to optimize sales in-stock rates inventory turns and overall inventory health for assigned categories

Monitor and own key performance indicators including in-stock rate procurement lead time fill rate and inventory turns

Lead business reviews with vendors to identify operational improvement opportunities and drive actionable recommendations

Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows while maintaining optimal inventory health

Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues develop action plans and project manage improvements while balancing multiple competing priorities

Identify opportunities to simplify recurring operational pain points for vendors and scale successful mechanisms across the broader team

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive tools and process improvements that enhance purchasing and procurement workflows

Serve as internal subject matter expert for key components of Amazons Supply Chain operations

A day in the life
Your morning starts reviewing key operational metricsin-stock rates inventory turns and vendor performance. You prep for your mid-morning vendor business review where you apply your analysis and collaborate on action plans to close gaps and discuss strategies for upcoming priorities.

In the afternoon you finalize contributions to a 3-year joint business plan strategy deckhighlighting operational performance trends surfacing immediate priorities and outlining transformative initiatives. You drive alignment with internal stakeholders and leadership.

Earlier you learned a vendor has limited supply for a key promotional item. You execute mitigation strategies ensure stakeholders are aware of execution steps and brief leadership on actions to mitigate risk before closing out the day.

About the team
In this role you will be a member of the Consumables Category team and will provide Supply Chain expertise alongside a team of designated Account Managers supporting two to three Selling Partners within the Consumables categories. Consumables categories consist of Baby Grocery Health & Personal Care Mass Beauty Pets and Premium Beauty. The role offers broad scope as the Selling Partners supported by this role may span numerous Brands end Customer segments and product categories.



- Bachelors degree or 1 years of professional or military experience
- 2 years of supply chain inventory management or project management experience
- 2 years of with Excel experience
- Experience with foundational Retail Supply Chain and Forecasting concepts. Ability to efficiently manipulate complex and ambiguous data into actionable insights.

- Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
