Location:San Leandro CA
Pay Rate: Up to $25.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday through Friday start time between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM may vary daily

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to support daily cycle counting and inventory accuracy within a fast-paced production and warehouse environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory records resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform daily cycle counts to ensure accurate physical inventory levels
* Maintain and update inventory records within inventory management systems
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
* Collaborate with warehouse production and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency
* Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends issues and opportunities for improvement
* Support full inventory audits and ensure compliance with company policies
* Follow inventory control procedures including FIFO and other established methodologies
* Maintain organized storage areas in accordance with company standards
* Identify and report damaged obsolete or excess inventory
* Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential supply or operational risks
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations quality standards and documentation requirements
* Adhere to all safety protocols including proper use of protective equipment

Qualifications

* Previous experience in inventory control cycle counting or warehouse inventory management required
* Experience in a food production or cold storage environment preferred
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
* Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word and Outlook
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
* Willingness to work weekends as needed
* Ability to work in a cold storage environment
* Ability to lift at least 20 pounds
