Desktop Engineer ChromeOS & Device Management
This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly secure large-scale endpoint environment focused on modern device management user experience and security compliance across multiple operating systems.
Position Overview
The Desktop Engineer will support and manage enterprise endpoint devices with a focus on ChromeOS Google Workspace and modern device management platforms.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience supporting diverse endpoint environments including ChromeOS Windows macOS and mobile devices within a large enterprise setting. The engineer will play a key role in device lifecycle management policy enforcement and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support ChromeOS devices using Google Admin Console
- Manage device configurations policies and security settings within Google Workspace
- Support and troubleshoot endpoints across ChromeOS Windows macOS and mobile platforms
- Administer and maintain MDM/UEM platforms (Omnissa Workspace ONE Intune JAMF or similar)
- Enforce device compliance security policies and access controls
- Support BYOD initiatives and ensure proper device enrollment and governance
- Troubleshoot hardware OS and application-related issues across enterprise endpoints
- Collaborate with security infrastructure and EUC teams to maintain endpoint health and compliance
- Assist with device provisioning lifecycle management and platform improvements
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of desktop support or endpoint engineering experience in large enterprise environments (1000 endpoints)
- Hands-on experience with Google Admin Console ChromeOS management and Google Workspace
- Experience administering MDM/UEM platforms (Omnissa Workspace ONE Intune JAMF or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems (ChromeOS Windows macOS mobile)
- Familiarity with device compliance endpoint security policies and BYOD management
- Experience working in fast-paced enterprise-scale environments
