What you will do:

• 1.0 FTE salaried role

• Support nursing education competency and professional development for RNs EMTs and Paramedics who work in La Crosse Emergency Services

  • This PDN position will provide Emergency Services with two PDNs to support the needs of the unit.

  • Flexible hours to provide PDN support to staff for both day and evening hours

• Responsible for system projects and programs and will work closely with several great teams:

  • Emergency Services Leadership Team (Director Manager Supervisors Clinical Nurse Leader Professional Development Nurse Quality and Department Chairs)

  • Emergency Services/Urgent Care Nursing Practice Subgroup (1 Clinical Nurse Leader 2 other Professional Development Nurses and an Informatics Nurse)

  • A large group of 40 Professional Development Nurses

• Travel to other Gundersen locations as required

What you need:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing required

• Masters degree in Nursing required within 5 years

• 3-4 yearsRN experience or equivalent required Emergency Nursing experience preferred

• RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire

• Basic Life Support CPR for Health Care Providers ACLS
