Vice Chair for Education Department of Radiology Medical University of South Carolina

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Vice Chair for Education. The Vice Chair of Education will have general oversight and executive managerial responsibility for all education which includes providing support guidance and advice to students residents faculty and leadership. The position requires knowledge and oversight of departmental education infrastructure and he/she will advise leadership on high quality education services and develop mechanisms for growth and improvement. He or she is a member of the Departments leadership team and works closely with the Department Chair and Executive team the Program Directors of Residency and Fellowships and the administrative staff to further the education mission in the department. They also serve as the departments representative to the MUSC College of Medicine Departmental Advisory Council.

Job Description:

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Vice Chair for Education. The Vice Chair of Education will have general oversight and executive managerial responsibility for all education which includes providing support guidance and advice to students residents faculty and leadership. The position requires knowledge and oversight of departmental education infrastructure and he/she will advise leadership on high quality education services and develop mechanisms for growth and improvement. He or she is a member of the Departments leadership team and works closely with the Department Chair and Executive team the Program Directors of Residency and Fellowships and the administrative staff to further the education mission in the department. Job Requirements:

The candidate should be an experienced medical educator with an established record of achievement in education locally and nationally. They should have the leadership ability to coordinate and advance education and develop collaborations within the institution and beyond. The candidate must be an MD or DO eligible to obtain a permanent medical license in the state of SC and hold Board Certification from the ABR.
