Social Worker Clinical LICSW Donor Transplant

Job Summary
The Donor Social Worker conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments individual psychotherapy treatment plans and support including coordination of discharge planning for potential kidney and liver donors through all phases of care including pre-donation donation and post-donation.
The Donor Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary transplant team complies with required standards for medical/legal responsibilities and serves as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the Section of Social Work and the Department of Nursing.
**This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must have a masters in social work (MSW) degree and clinical level licensure.
Licensure
LICSW licensure to practice independently at the clinical level is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of mental illness personality development knowledge of the types of treatment and skills in conducting individual group and family therapy.
- Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnoses and chronic disease.
- Strong communication skills both in verbal and written form are needed to interact with patients patients family members multidisciplinary team community agencies and other resources.
- Psychosocial diagnostic skills.

International Degrees
- A detailed equivalency evaluation is required demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree.
- Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) () or the Association of International Credential Evaluators Inc. (AICE) ().
