Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator Correctional Facility Location:Eden TX (76837) Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks) Schedule: 5x8 Day Shift
Position Summary
The Mental Health Coordinator is responsible for planning coordinating and delivering clinical mental health services within a secure correctional facility. This role focuses on providing non-medical mental health care including assessments treatment planning counseling and crisis intervention.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise sound judgment and the ability to deliver high-quality care while maintaining professionalism in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through clinical interviews and record reviews
Develop implement and update individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
Provide ongoing therapeutic services including counseling and behavioral interventions
Deliver crisis intervention and support for acute mental health concerns
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations treatment plans and clinical interactions
Ensure strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with regulatory standards
Apply evidence-based practices and psychological theories in treatment delivery
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans to achieve optimal outcomes
Required Qualifications
Education:
Masters degree in Social Work Psychology Mental Health Counseling or a related clinical field from an accredited institution
Licensure:
Active and unrestricted state license in one of the following:
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid drivers license (if required by contract)
Experience & Skills
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience
At least two (2) years in a similar or related role
Strong knowledge of mental health assessment diagnosis and treatment planning
Proven ability to provide counseling and crisis intervention in structured environments
Excellent documentation communication and organizational skills
High level of professionalism ethics and confidentiality
