About the Role
The Desktop System Administrator will support end users manage IT assets and help maintain a reliable secure desktop environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting providing hands-on support and keeping IT operations running smoothly.
What Youll Do
- Provide desktop support for hardware software and network connectivity.
- Install configure and troubleshoot desktops laptops and printers.
- Manage IT assets including inventory tracking allocation and documentation.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding from a device standpoint.
- Perform routine updates patches and security checks on desktops.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve issues.
- Maintain clear documentation of processes and resolutions.
What Were Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in desktop administration or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with asset tracking tools and basic networking concepts.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time onsite role.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a corporate IT environment.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator or ITIL Foundation.
