Retail Operations Intern

The Retail Operations Intern supports the Store Operations team by assisting with projects reporting and process improvement initiatives that enhance retail store performance and operational effectiveness across the Batteries Plus network. This internship provides hands-on exposure to retail operations cross-functional collaboration and corporate business functions while contributing to initiatives that support store teams improve operational tools and resources and drive operational efficiency.

What Youll Do

• Support key operational projects including development and organization of internal resources used by retail store teams.
• Assist in managing and optimizing the companys clearance program.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support store operations initiatives and business priorities.
• Help develop and maintain operational tools communications and documentation for retail locations.
• Assist with reporting presentations and ad hoc operational projects.
• Support labor and payroll reporting activities and assist in analyzing trends to identify operational efficiencies.
• Track and analyze key store performance metrics including sales labor customer experience and operational compliance.
• Summarize findings and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making.
• Participate in evaluating store procedures and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational friction.
• Gain exposure to in-store operations to better understand day-to-day retail challenges and opportunities.
• Translate store observations into actionable recommendations that enhance execution and performance.
• Support initiatives designed to improve both the associate and customer experience.

What Were Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Retail Management Operations Human Resources or a related field or demonstrated interest in retail operations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or similar data tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Interest in retail operations and supporting frontline store teams.
