Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Full-Time Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist
Join a well-established pediatric hospitalist team at an acclaimed medical center located in the beautiful city of Reno Nevada. This facility provides a collaborative and supportive environment for medical professionals allowing you to deliver high-quality care with access to comprehensive subspecialty support. Experience practicing in a state-of-the-art 58-bed Level 3 NICU with round-the-clock neonatology coverage all within an academic setting aimed at fostering growth and education.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform newborn nursery examinations.
- Conduct circumcisions.
- Participate in pediatric resident and medical student education.
- Collaborate with pediatric intensivists hospitalists and neonatologists.
- Work with dedicated nursing staff trained in transitional newborn and couplet care.
- Utilize Certified Lactation Specialist support available year-round.
- Practice in a 58-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage.
- Access comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support including pediatric surgery.
- No delivery attendance required.
- This is a permanent full-time position that necessitates residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics REQUIRED
- Nevada Medical License (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and medical license history HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) REQUIRED
- Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the area REQUIRED
- DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to starting REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Nevada Medical License or eligibility to obtain REQUIRED
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) REQUIRED
- CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start) REQUIRED
