Pay Rate: $21.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials permits and/or identification as required helping to control entry to restricted or sensitive government areas.
• Support emergency preparedness by following post orders assisting with evacuations and/or lockdown procedures and communicating clearly with supervisors first responders and onsite personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1 years of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
