Job Title: Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technician I Location: Hackensack NJ 07601 Schedule: 4x10s 6:30 AM 5:00 PM Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Summary: Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technician I to support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role requires technical expertise in cardiac catheterization lab operations sterile technique and hemodynamic monitoring in an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile trays and organize procedure-specific equipment
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Operate and load power injectors as needed
Calibrate and monitor hemodynamic equipment for accurate readings
Maintain digital imaging systems and ensure proper storage/retrieval of patient data
Assist in emergency situations to support patient stabilization
Support sheath removal and vascular closure device placement
Assist with inventory control and equipment maintenance
Ensure compliance with infection control and radiation safety standards
Provide patient-centered care tailored to age culture and communication needs
Perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 40 lbs) pushing/pulling (up to 100 lbs) and prolonged standing
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or invasive cardiovascular setting OR 612 months in an accredited CVT program plus additional lab experience
Strong knowledge of:
Hemodynamic monitoring
Sterile technique
Cath lab workflows
Experience scrubbing in the Cath Lab (required)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment
