Job Summary
Position Overview: The Modern Work Architect is responsible for the daily operational management and governance of Microsoft 365 services within the organizations administrative portals. This role ensures optimal configuration availability and security of cloud productivity services while aligning with corporate compliance and access control policies.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor core Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online Microsoft Teams SharePoint OneDrive and Copilot.
- Manage Microsoft Power Platform services including Power Apps Power Automate Dataverse and Power BI for performance access and integration governance.
- Design implement and audit Conditional Access Policies to ensure secure and compliant access to Microsoft 365 services.
- Configure and maintain tenant-connected applications using Microsoft Entra. Evaluate applications regularly for permissions usage and disuse.
- Oversee compliance-related services within Microsoft Purview including data loss prevention (DLP) retention policies data classification and auditing.
- Manage license assignments and availability.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure M365 configurations align with regulatory frameworks and company standards.
- Troubleshoot user and system issues across the Microsoft 365 tenant and escalate to Microsoft support when necessary.
- Participate in the implementation of new features and updates released to Microsoft 365 assessing organizational impact and readiness.
- Maintain thorough documentation of configurations policies and operational procedures.
- Provide end-user guidance and administrative support for Teams collaboration licensing and lifecycle management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 or similar enterprise cloud platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online Power Platform Teams and related administrative portals.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra compliance solutions (Purview) and identity governance.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert).
