POSITIONPURPOSE: (Whydoes this position exist)
Theposition has primary accountability for coordinating theHealthPartners broker contracting and appointment process. Theposition also has accountability for maintaining data integrity inthe Broker Compensation System.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Keyroles responsibilities & functions for this position) (Forsupervisory position indicate positions/departments supervised)
Worksclosely with the Broker Sales Team Individual & Senior SalesTeam Government & Labor Team and Major & National Team tofacilitate the proper contracting and appointment process.
Processand screen external inquires for potential broker contracting.
Processand maintain executed broker contracts and company appointmentsErrors & Omissions verification and Licensing.
Processmonthly broker and contract associations.
Understandand process Medicare & Individual Broker compensation schedules
BrokerAdministration point of contact for Agent Medicare Certificationprocess
Coordinatedecisions regarding broker administration with areas of expertise toinclude but are not limited to:
AccountsPayable
Finance
MembershipAccounting
Underwriting
SalesAccount Management System Maintenance & Reporting
MemberServices
Assistwith implementation of:
Brokerevents including training events
Brokercommunications
Otherprojects as assigned
FollowHealthPartners procedures document and report progress asdirected and supply team with information necessary to functionproperly.
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS: (Minimumqualifications needed for this position)
Associatesdegree in a related field or 4 years related work experience.
Twoyears related sales or customer service experience preferably withinthe health insurance industry.
Knowledgeand understanding of the role of brokers in the distribution andservice of health products.
Proficiencywith personal computers: spreadsheet word processing database andworkflow management programs (Microsoft Office applications).
Abilityto manage multiple project assignments and tight timelines.
Strongattention to detail.
Executionof a non-competition agreement upon hire.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
Workingknowledge of Minnesota and Wisconsin life and health insurancelicense requirements and appointments
Collegecourse work in business finance or health related studies
Strongknowledge of HealthPartners and affiliate company operations
Previousexperience working with the brokerage community
Workingknowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement and Covey principles
Priorexperience in team environment
Priorhealth insurance and/or sales experience.

Thisposition will work with the Manager and HealthPartners SalesDepartment in arriving at decisions.
