- Shift: Day Shift (7:30 AM 4:00 PM)
- Hours: 24 hours per week
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support diagnostic cardiac testing in a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD). This role focuses on performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac stress testing while ensuring patient safety regulatory compliance and adherence to imaging standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac stress testing and organ imaging
- Prepare and safely administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and evaluate images using PACS systems
- Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff in compliance with NRC and state regulations
- Maintain accurate records of radioactive materials including storage usage and disposal
- Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment and related materials
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Perform IV starts and prepare patients for imaging procedures
- Utilize EPIC Nuctrac and reporting systems for documentation and scheduling
- Maintain a clean safe and contamination-free work environment
- Deliver patient-centered care following AIDET communication standards
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Active NJDEP license (required)
- ARRT or NMTCB certification (required)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital-based Nuclear Medicine experience
Required Skills
- Experience with cardiac nuclear stress testing
- Proficiency in PACS EPIC Nuctrac and Philips ISCV systems
- Ability to operate Digirad camera systems
- Strong IV placement skills
- Solid knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory compliance
- High attention to detail with strong patient care abilities
