Also organizing and monitoring production throughputProduction Supervisor Job ResponsibilitiesOversee activity of the warehouse staff including but not limited to: monitoring picking progress put-away material returns timely handling maintenance and control practicesResponsible for cycle counting process and efficiency leading up to year-end inventory auditCoordinate picking activity to satisfy the production schedulePrepare work orders for handoff to production staffCoordinate the return of all material back into the warehouseVerify counts for accuracyVerify appropriate condition of stockCoordinate coverage during employees vacationsPromote a safe work environmentEnsure training of new employees retraining of old (if required) and cross training to allow for a flexible workforce and opportunities for advancementCommunicate effectively and regularly with the warehouse staffMaintain relevant procedures processes and work instructionsIssue warning notices to employees for violations of rules or company policies or performance deficienciesPerform other duties as assignedAccomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning monitoring and appraising job results; coaching counseling and disciplining employees; initiating coordinating and enforcing systems policies and staff by training employees and developing growth safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel in the use of 5S principles and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and throughput by monitoring steps of the process; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; facilitating root cause analysis activities to failures within the process and report Supervisor Job QualificationsMust have a High School Diploma/GED or Associates Degree in Business ManagementMust have experience in warehousingStrong organizational and problem solving skillsAble to develop and implement the use of processes and proceduresAble to use all relevant systems programs and equipment to complete jobMust have Microsoft Computer to use SAP as it relates to to demonstrate full understanding of production flow processAutomotive industry/supplier experience is preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSActivityNeverOccasionally.25-2.5 hrs. dailyFrequently2.5-5.5 hrs. dailyContinuously5.5-8 hrs. dailySitXStandXWalkXDriveXReach AboveXBend/StoopXLift/CarryIndicate Amount/Frequency0-10 lbsX10-20 lbsX20-50 lbsX50-100 lbsXOver 100 lbsXUse HandsIndicate Amount/FrequencyPushing/PullingXFine ManipulationX
