Position Overview

Perez Morris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical and legal issues strong research and writing skills and experience assisting with cases from initial filing through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences arbitrations mediations and depositions.
• Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands preparing motions to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.

• Serve as the primary contact for corporate clients and insurers providing regular updates case assessments and litigation plans.
• Independently manage an assigned caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of legal practice.
• Provide strategic counsel and legal advice to clients throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

• Associate with 24 years of experience handling the defense of medical malpractice or personal injury litigation.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.
• Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.
• Exceptional attention to detail strong writing and legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
• Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
• Values collaboration and diverse perspectives and can work with a team to creatively solve problems.
• Willingness to be a productive member of a team.
