Fire Alarm System Project Manager

Selected candidate will be responsible for planning directing and coordinating activities of all Fire Alarm System projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews project proposals to determine goals time frames funding limitations procedures for accomplishing projects staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
• Develops project plans specifying goals strategy staffing scheduling identification of risks contingency plans and allocation of available resources.
• Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
• Identifies and schedules project deliverables milestones and required tasks.
• Assigns duties responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules and plans as required.
• Prepares project status reports and keeps management clients and others informed of project status and related issues.
• Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
• Manages project documentation and correspondence.
• Manages the projects development and oversees all project activities coordination schedules scope of work installation plans and specifications (if applicable) deadlines and verification.
• Generate customer billings and approve supplier invoices for assigned projects.
• Follow safety standards to the highest degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
• Assist with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper coordination and cooperation for project completion.
• Provide feedback track and make a note of field change information for the project.
• Prepare monthly progress financial and other reports for assigned projects.
• Forecast monthly project invoicing and related costs.
• Prioritize multitask work well under pressure work within a team atmosphere and support other members of the team.
• Perform all business activities with integrity and at the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• High level of reading interpreting and applying system design plans as well as building construction drawings and documents.
• Must be able to differentiate types and colors of electrical wire.
• Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill.
• Experience ensuring compliance with safety OSHA ANSI Federal Acquisition Regulation and other project-related rules and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent networking skills business-minded change orientated and pro-active.
• Excellent in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
• Must possess a valid Texas drivers license with a safe driving record.

Education and/or Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or construction management from a four-year college or university.
• 8-10 years of experience in project management and servicing fire safety equipment.
