Job Summary

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations including WAN LAN wireless SD-WAN and network security platforms
  • Oversee daily operational activities including incident management problem resolution and service availability
  • Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
  • Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams including infrastructure and security-focused functions
  • Support ongoing and planned initiatives including:
    • SD-WAN implementation and optimization
    • Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g. ThousandEyes AppDynamics)
    • security integrations (e.g. Secure Workload NGFW identity services)
  • Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts
  • Ensure compliance with Agency security standards policies and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering Data Center Telecom and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide status reporting risk identification and mitigation planning to leadership
  • Maintain documentation of network architecture processes and operational procedures
  • Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager

Mandatory Skills:

  1. 7 years- Minimum of seven (7) years experience performing supervisory/management work including providing clear direction to subordinates; promoting teamwork and motivating others to accomplish goals.

Desirable Skills:

  1. 7 years- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with administration maintenance and design of Cisco VoIP solutions is required.
  2. 5 years- Minimum of five (5) years experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment.
  3. 5 years- Experienced with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network voice and video environment.
