Job Summary
QC Inspector
Pay: $24-$25/hr
Shift: 3rd (9:00pm - 5:30am OT as needed)
Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day inspection of materials received finished products and work in progress of Aircraft System Components to ensure conformance with customer requirements.

Skill Set & Required Qualifications/Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Know and execute PAS Management System procedures.
- Familiar with companys products and processes
- Follow and complete required inspection documentation
- Performs First Article Inspections as required
- Support on-site customer source inspections
- Acceptance or rejection of parts as necessary
- Creation of IPRs and OPRs
- Creates ECRs as necessary
- Manages expectations and projects with a professional attitude by complying with company policies and procedures always
- Comply and promote company policies pertaining to Code of Conduct shop safety practices and policies.
- Willingness to support company training and cross functional efforts.
- Oversee calibration system and/or support when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Education and/or Experience consist of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of solid Mechanical inspection in the Aerospace industry
- Able to use inspection equipment such as micrometer caliper height gages and a vision system/comparator
- Experience with AS9100 and aerospace industry requirements
- Experience with CALYPSO and Gear Pro software preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass visual acuity / color perception requirements.
- Knowledge of Flight Safety Procedures Frozen Planning requirements and General Shop Safety
- Previous certification as a Flight Safety Inspector desirable but not required
- DQR (Designated Quality Rep) for at least one customer preferred but not required.
- Proficient at reading and understanding complex engineering drawings blueprints work instructions and procedures.
- Proficient at understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Able to work with large parts and very tight tolerances.
- Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations where customer satisfaction is the goal.
- Can conform to shifting priorities demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook. ERP system required preferably ABAS.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills. This position must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering inspection personnel and shop floor employees.
- Experience with Kaizen 5S Continuous Improvement and Lean Enterprise practices
- Experience with AS9100 and aerospace industry requirements
