Locum Emergency Medicine

Locum Square is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. This role offers a steady patient volume collaborative clinical support and a well-structured emergency department environment.

The Emergency Medicine Physician will deliver high-quality emergency care while collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and hospital specialists. The facility is seeking providers who can commit to consistent monthly shifts with long-term availability.

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days
• Assignment Length: Ongoing preferred availability of 12 months
• Minimum Shifts: 5 shifts per month consistently
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

Physician Shift Options

• 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

APP Shift Coverage

• 9:00 AM 9:00 PM
• 11:00 AM 11:00 PM
• 2:00 PM 2:00 AM

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately visits
• Average Daily Volume: 55 60 patients per 24-hour period
• ED Beds: 17
• EMR System: MediTech
• Patient Transfers: Approximately 4.94%

• Riverside Methodist Hospital
• Grant Medical Center
• Genesis Healthcare System
• The Ohio State University Medical Center
• Aultman Hospital (OB)

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients of varying acuity
• Collaborate with and supervise Advanced Practice Providers
• Evaluate diagnose and manage acute and urgent medical conditions
• Coordinate care with specialty consultants and transfer centers when needed
• Ensure efficient patient flow documentation and disposition planning

• Board Certified: ABMS or AOA in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Ohio Medical License required (IMLC accepted with proof of Letter of Qualification within 3 business days of job acceptance)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Clean background required

• PALS
• NRP

Additional Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Self-query NPDB report within 30 days of submission
• Availability for night and weekend shifts

• Providers must confirm night and weekend availability at time of submission
• Name clear is only considered complete after the client reviews the full candidate presentation
