Position: Program Director - Fatherhood Program
Reports to: Division Director
Work Location: 1835 Sterling Place Brooklyn NY 11233
Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $80000 - $80000
Position Summary:
The Fatherhood Initiative helps non-custodial fathers increase engagement and responsibility in their childrens lives by improving relationships and providing material and financial support. The program assists fathers including those with prior involvement in the criminal justice system with achieving employment and education goals integrating aspects of conflict management violence prevention and other support services to help fathers resolve issues and achieve economic security through workshops counseling and special events with their children. The Program Director provides leadership and management to this program supervision to several staff and outreach and partnership to our funders community partners and other stakeholders. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring program compliance data management and outcome achievement.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and managing the Fatherhood program
Supervising program staff
Ensure all applicable regulations and program/contract requirements are met
Hiring developing training and evaluating staff
Building and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholder and service providers
Ensuring that services provided are consistent with BCS mission and values
Working collaboratively with staff and community partner to build enrollment and support retention
Manage front desk coverage and supervision of the main site/office
Assist with development of funding proposals as needed
Other tasks as may be required.
Qualifications:
MSW or similar field of study required; LMSW Preferred
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in direct service environment
Bi-Lingual spanish preferred
Communicate program objectives priorities and progress to the appropriate individuals.
Provide individual counseling sessions and co-lead parenting groups.
Manage a small caseload of clinically challenging clients.
Directly manage crises and provide coverage for client care as needed.
Proven record of problem solving
Excellent written and oral communication; including public speaking
Enthusiasm for working with empowering low income adults including people with disabilities
