Honda Bank is strengthening its regulatory reporting and risk control framework across Europe. We are looking for a Regulatory Reporting & Risk Controlling Specialist to manage our outsourced regulatory reporting providers in Germany and Spain and help shape the future of our regulatory reporting processes.
In this role you will ensure that reports submitted to key regulatory authorities are accurate complete and delivered on time. You will also contribute to process improvements regulatory projects such as ESG disclosures and support risk controlling activities within a highly regulated banking environment.

Tasks
Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
- Manage outsourced regulatory reporting service providers in Germany and Spain.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements from BaFin Bundesbank Bank of Spain and European authorities (EBA ECB).
- Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and assess their impact on reporting processes.
- Support internal and external audits as well as regulatory reviews.
Data Validation & Reconciliation
- Review and validate regulatory reports prior to submission.
- Perform quality checks and reconciliations between internal systems and outsourced reporting outputs.
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate solutions with relevant departments and service providers.
Risk Controlling
- Support processes within Regulatory Reporting and Risk Controlling where not in conflict with separate functions.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting and risk controlling processes and controls.
- Maintain clear documentation of reporting procedures validation steps and regulatory interpretations.
- Support projects defined by the Head of Risk Management and Regulatory Reporting and/or the Department Manager.
Reporting of persons in control of the bank
- Monitor changes and prepare timely reports when required.
- Ensure compliance and maintain proper documentation.
Requirements
- Banking training or a university degree in Finance Business Economics or a related field.
- Experience in regulatory reporting within the banking sector is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of European banking regulations and reporting standards particularly in Germany and Spain is a plus.
- Familiarity with COREP FINREP AnaCredit and similar reporting frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to manage external service providers and coordinate across departments.
- Strong analytical thinking problem-solving skills and structured working style.
- High attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Proactive approach to improving reporting quality and efficiency.
- Fluent in English and Spanish. German is a plus.
