Postdoctoral researcher (Gene therapy at nervous system)

Research group working in the development of gene therapy strategies for neurological paediatric rare diseases using AAV vectors animal models and iPSC-derived neurons from patients with the aim to arrive to clinical assays.

Main responsibilities and duties:

Education and qualifications:

Required:

• PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Biomedicine or similar

• Animal Experimentation Course

Desirable:

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

• Experience (minimum 4 years) in production and purification of recombinant AAV vectors

• Experience (minimum 4 years) in in vivo animal experimentation: viral vector administration to rodents

• Experience (minimum 4 years) in in vivo animal experimentation: behavioral and memory tests

• Experience (minimum 4 years) in working with iPSC derived neurons and brain organoids

• Experience (minimum 4 years) in neurological rare diseases

• Experience (minimum 4 years) in Maxipreps and minipreps as well as in other molecular biology techniques.
