Job Description
Would you like to contribute to the safe use of medicines and vaccines globally We are looking for a Training Specialist to develop coordinate and deliver training for users of UMCs Drug Dictionary WHODrug Global and related UMC products that support the consistent exchange and use of medicine and vaccine information.
Since 1978 Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) has been dedicated to developing supporting and expanding the field of pharmacovigilance science and practice.
As a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre we support work around the world to examine the potential adverse effects of medicines and vaccines and contribute to safer more informed care of patients.
We are a diverse international group of pharmacists physicians data scientists system developers communicators and many other professionals motivated by a deep belief that the work we do matters.
About the role
We are seeking a Training Specialist to strengthen and scale UMCs external training for users of WHODrug Global and related products. The role focuses on developing coordinating and delivering highquality training that helps users apply UMCs products correctly and consistently in their daily work. You will work closely with subjectmatter experts across UMC and play a key role in ensuring that training content delivery and quality are aligned across regions and products.
You will report to the Head of Outreach.
What you will do
- Help shape the future of UMCs external training by contributing to how training for WHODrug Global and related products is developed delivered and scaled over time.
- Develop coordinate and deliver external training for users of UMCs Drug Dictionary WHODrug Global and related UMC products.
- Design and maintain training materials including presentations supporting documentation exercises and other learning resources in collaboration with internal subjectmatter experts.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development Specialists in the development of online courses within UMCs learning management system (LMS).
- Plan and deliver classroombased training sessions workshops and similar interactive formats as well as virtual training sessions and webinars.
- Coordinate training activities such as scheduling logistics and preparation for different training formats.
- Deliver training sessions independently and together with colleagues including demonstrations casebased discussions and Q&A.
- Work with UMC instructors using a trainthetrainer approach to ensure consistent quality and messaging across all training delivered.
- Support UMCs Regional Specialists to maintain alignment and continuity in training across countries and regions.
- Review and support WHODrug users in preparing presentations for community events such as WHODrug User Group meetings and webinars.
- Collect and use feedback to continuously improve training content structure and delivery.
