Project Title

Metrology Data Analytics for Workstation Conversion Evaluation

Project Description

Advanced metrology techniques are critical enablers in Microns cuttingedge semiconductor manufacturing processes. This internship project focuses on the application of data analytics and AIenabled techniques to study and evaluate metrology workstation conversion scenarios.
The intern will work on a structured projectbased assignment involving analysis of metrology data sets and manufacturing context to assess process performance measurement capability and potential tradeoffs associated with workstation conversion. Through this project the intern will gain exposure to metrology fundamentals manufacturing analytics workflows and engineering decisionmaking frameworks used in a highvolume manufacturing environment.

Objective of the Project

  • To develop foundational understanding of semiconductor metrology and its role in manufacturing integration
  • To apply data analytics techniques to evaluate process performance and measurement capability
  • To build analytical thinking and engineering judgment through a realworld projectbased learning experience

Project Scope

  • Study metrology measurement principles and their application in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Analyze historical and structured metrology data to identify trends variability and capability indicators
  • Evaluate different workstation conversion scenarios using datadriven comparison frameworks
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional engineering stakeholders to understand system interactions and constraints
