Product Engineer

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

• Influence Product Service Life Cycle (SLC) gives features that will optimize KLAs service business: retrofit calibrations/diagnostics Cost of Service reliability Preventative Maintenance optimization Intellectual Property (IP) protection.

• Details on the products to be supported in this role can be found below in the Product Overview section.

• Build solid expertise in overall system operation system integration and system calibrations/diagnostics.

• Sustain products critical customer issues (including parts delivery pricing & special requirements) analyze data from various sources and work with Engineering to provide a detailed plan of action (POA).

• Assist KLA Services training organization to revise and improve the knowledge and training infrastructure for mature products.

• Spares obsolescence risk analysis and coordination with Spares Planning team to build and implement initiatives that mitigate Service supply chain risk including closing known issues and collaboration with KLA Services Engineering and Operations team.

• Work side by side with Operations Quality and Spares Planning Team to drive part quality issues from the field to closure.

• Support planning for retrofits including performing serviceability validation and resource availability.

• The Instruments Business has a unique business requirement where product engineers also help with Requests for Engineering (RFEs) custom one-offs of our flagship models by evaluating the serviceability of these projects as they are developed.

• Act as key stakeholder in mature PLCs to support products that have reached end of manufacturing as well as guiding any legacy products to end of service.

• Ability to travel domestic & foreign up to 25%

Product Overview

This role will support the AutoMetrology Profilers and Optical Profilers product families which are core components of KLA Instruments. These products span automated and benchtop metrology solutions including stylus profilers and advanced noncontact optical profilers enabling precise measurement of surface topography film thickness roughness and critical dimensions across both R&D and highvolume manufacturing environments. Collectively this portfolio supports a broad range of customer use casesfrom process development to production controlleveraging proven KLA measurement technologies and a scalable platform approach that serves multiple industries and applications. Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in Engineering

• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills

• Expertise in Basic Microsoft Software Packages

• Excellent presentation skills and a demonstrated level of comfort in front of various audiences

• An eagerness to learn new technologies processes and techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Capital Equipment experience in KLA Instruments or similar Semiconductor Industry

• Understanding these tools: Python Power Bi SQL Server Excel

• Project Management Experience with demonstrable experience across multiple subject areas

• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing control systems (ERP PLM etc.) and customer management systems (CRM).

• Comfortable with data analysis to research a problem and determine what data are required to answer specific questions and problems

• MS Project and Visio experience
