SAP Vendor Master Data Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a short-term SAP Vendor Master Data Specialist to support data profiling cleansing standardization de-duplication validation and governance activities. The objective is to enhance data quality ensure compliant payments improve procurement efficiency and enable accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Profiling & Assessment

• Analyze vendor master data across SAP tables:
  • ECC: LFA1 LFB1 LFM1 LFBK ADRC
  • S/4HANA: Business Partner (BP) BUT000 BUT020 Vendor roles (FLVN00 FLVN01)
• Identify:
  • Duplicate records
  • Incomplete or invalid data
  • Inconsistent naming conventions
  • Orphaned records

2. Data Cleansing & Standardization

• Standardize:
  • Vendor names and addresses (ISO/country formats)
  • Tax details (VAT/TRN) WHT codes
  • Payment terms methods and blocks
  • Reconciliation accounts
• Cleanse and update:
  • Vendor bank details (including IBAN SWIFT/BIC)
  • Bank account currency and partner bank type
  • Contact details (phone email – remove outdated info)
• Normalize data as per organizational standards
• Update related party information in Business Partner fields

3. De-duplication & Validation

• Define and apply duplicate detection rules (exact and fuzzy logic)
• Consolidate records using survivorship rules (latest activity completeness)
• Validate critical fields and ensure data integrity

4. Remediation Execution

• Execute mass updates using tools such as:
  • ECC: LSMW XK99 Winshuttle
  • S/4HANA: LTMC/Migration Cockpit Mass Maintenance apps MDG (if available)
• Apply vendor blocks (payment purchasing posting) as per approval workflows

5. Controls Documentation & Handover

• Establish data quality rules and validation checks (pre & post updates)
• Prepare SOPs governance frameworks and RACI matrix
• Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and end-user training

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA Vendor Master Data
• Proven experience in data cleansing migration or governance projects
• Familiarity with SAP data tools (LSMW LTMC Winshuttle MDG etc.)
• Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle and procurement processes

• This is a 3-month onsite assignment
