Senior Transmission Line Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer with a strong background in PLSCAD and transmission line design. This role will serve as part of our Energy team providing technical expertise across all phases of transmission line projects.

What Youll Do:

• Provide Senior technical leadership in the planning design and delivery of overhead (and where applicable underground) transmission line projects ensuring highquality safe and commercially sound outcomes.
• Act as a key technical authority for utilityscale renewable and grid infrastructure projects in the Philippines and international markets.
• Perform transmission line design using PLSCAD including modelling analysis and optimization for transmission lines 69kV to 500kV
• Prepare design calculations engineering drawings and technical documentation reports design criteria and design basis reports structure spotting alignment layouts plan & profile drawings sagtension calculations and loading cases bill of materials structure lists hardware and insulator specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with PEC NGCP IEC IEEE AS/NZS and projectspecific standards.
• Provide technical input during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) supplier evaluations and construction support phases.
• Support projects from feasibility studies conceptualization detailed design and construction stages
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical quality and compliance with relevant standards
• Provide training mentoring coaching and technical guidance to junior and midlevel transmission line engineers and designers.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals methodologies cost estimates and tenders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support successful project delivery. Represent GHD in technical discussions design reviews and selected client or site engagements.

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical Civil or related discipline)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line design
• Proficiency in PLSCAD. Experience PLSPOLE or PLSTOWER is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience delivering utilityscale transmission line projects in the Philippines and/or internationally
• Consulting or client-facing experience is a plus including proposal writing and stakeholder coordination
