Job Details

Maintains the facilities equipment machinery and systems for minimum downtime and maximum efficiency.

In the process of repairing or conducting maintenance on machinery must understand and follow all applicable lockout/tag out and other safety procedures.

Maintains a clean and orderly work area both in the shop and wherever work is performed throughout the plant. Cleans up work areas after use or on a daily basis. Removes all waste or surplus materials to scrap or storage areas.

Maintains and repairs miscellaneous items of mechanical equipment throughout the plant.

Maintains clean rooms hallways lobbies lounges rest rooms corridors elevators stairways parking lots and other work areas.

Performs all duties related to preventative maintenance program including updating of records. Completes additional preventative maintenance reports and other documents to communicate status of equipment and machinery.

May perform welding as required.

Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.

Repairs floors walls and ceilings plumbing systems electrical systems boilers water treatment systems chillers HVAC systems pure steam generators autoclaves compressed air systems and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) as required to maintain equipment/facility operations and validated conditions.

Orders parts and maintain required documents.

Responsible for maintaining building security and facility emergencies.

Must have availability on a 24-hour basis

Must be able to work flexible hours.
