EB Operations Analyst Transaction Processing, Cash & Settlement

Euroclear is recruiting for a new position to join our Transaction Processing Division.

Transaction Processing APAC manages cash and settlement activities in APAC markets and currencies and also handles cash and securities netting with Clearstream.

The Cash and Settlement department is a complex but thrilling business unit requiring outstanding time management prioritization market understanding and attention to detail. These core functions are vital to Euroclear Banks operations.

Our department collaborates with various teams including Client Services Commercial Banking FundSettle Asset Servicing Collateral Management Network Management and Product divisions. This role uniquely positions you to build comprehensive end-to-end knowledge of the Operations business.

Your part of the deal

As a member of the Transaction Processing team your specific responsibilities will be to:

• Handle the processing of clients and correspondents cash instructions
• Repair and follow up on incorrect/incomplete instructions with clients to ensure timely execution
• Monitor the outflow of payments and conduct risk control checks
• Ensure cash and settlement instructions are processed accurately and on time
• Manage cancellation requests from clients for their cash and settlement instructions
• Process cash and securities realignment requests with Clearstream daily
• Analyze and resolve blocking issues or investigations in collaboration with management
• Liaise and handle queries from Asian cash correspondents and depositories
• Provide assistance to Client Services for queries related to cash and settlement
• Propose and implement new tools and applications to improve efficiency and productivity
• Coordinate actions between collaborators
• Actively contribute to projects or initiatives with outputs subject to managerial review
• Contribute to continuous improvement by hosting or participating in problem-solving sessions identifying process gaps and developing action plans

Your profile

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess an understanding of financial products and associated cash and settlement processes
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with peers
• Excel at multitasking in a fast-paced environment with exceptional priority management skills
• Be diligent and ensure accuracy at all times
• Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Work autonomously be open-minded and learn quickly
• Be self-motivated and capable of collaborating with different teams
• Ideally have previous experience in cash processing and/or settlement operations
• Have a strong command of English with proficiency in Mandarin as a bonus
• Have knowledge of SQL and advanced Excel (Macro/VBA) skills which is advantageous
