About the role

As a Network Technician at GlobalConnect youll be joining a Pan-Nordic team responsible for 3rd level operations where we are supporting the future of B2B and B2G network solutions. You will be part of a growing business that offers exposure to innovative technologies and provides a steep learning curve.

In this role youll focus on troubleshooting and maintaining critical network systems while also working on advanced SD-WAN firewall and WiFi platforms like Fortinet HPE Aruba and Versa Networks. You will have the unique opportunity to handle 3rd-level operations ensuring the ongoing performance of one of Europes largest and most complex ISP networks.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

• Collaborating with our Network Operations and Engineering teams to manage and resolve incidents and escalations.
• Maintaining Layer 2/3 network systems and overseeing SD-WAN services (Underlay Overlay Add-On).

Alongside these responsibilities you will continuously observe the networks performance resolve advanced issues handle alterations in system configuration and maintain consistent operations to provide continuous service to our clients. Youll also keep documentation up-to-date and train local Customer Service departments to strengthen their knowledge.

To succeed in this role we believe you have:

• Deep expertise in Fortinet technologies including FortiGate FW/SD-WAN routers FortiExtender 4G/5G modems FortiSwitch and FortiAP WiFi APs.
• Solid experience with TCP/IP Routing & Switching and SD-WAN services such as Underlay Overlay and Add-On.
• Experience with platforms such as Versa and Aruba.
• Familiarity with ITIL and tools like ServiceNow JIRA and MS Teams.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate across our Pan-Nordic team and with customers.

A security clearance is required for this position so it is important that you can be approved in the country youre applying for.
