Software Engineering Intern Secure Flow Pipeline Security (Brno office, Czech Republic)

The Red Hat Secure Flow Pipeline Security team is looking for an intern with some experience in Python who is interested in the security of the software production pipeline to join us in Brno Czech this role you will contribute to the security improvements of the Red Hat product pipeline and help us make our development more secure. As an Intern youll get a chance to broaden your coding experience and look into the security subject matter. Security is one of the biggest topics for most companies nowadays. This long-term internship will allow you to gain in-depth knowledge about Red Hats business and the open source culture. Additionally the intern will be a part of new initiatives about leveraging and utilizing AI tools such as agents for completing routine development tasks and improving personal productivity.

Red Hats Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience combining professional development networking opportunities social engagement and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office typically lasting 12 months with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week with flexible working hours and the expected start date is July 1st.

What you will do:

• Contribute to the development of secure software pipelines

• Learn and understand the technologies involved

• Contribute to internal software projects

What you will bring:

• You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelors 3rd/4th year or Masters) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.

• Working knowledge of written and spoken English

• Experience in development in Python.

• Interest in learning new technologies and problem-solving skills

• Experience using Git

• Be a Linux user

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

The following are considered a plus:

• Knowledge of Security in terms of coding cryptography and vulnerability management.

• Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on public repositories.

• Experience in development in Golang C or Rust.

• Experience in test-driven development

• Bash/Shell scripting experience.
