EHS Manager Residential Construction (Cork)

Occupli is currently partnering with a leading residential contractor to appoint an experienced EHS Manager to oversee health safety and environmental standards across multiple active housing developments in the Cork region.
This is a residentially focused role and we are specifically seeking candidates with a proven track record in low- to mid-rise housing projects. Applicants must have direct experience working with Irish contractors or developers on residential builds.
Please note: candidates whose experience is primarily within pharma manufacturing data centres or heavy industrial environments will not be considered.
- Cork-based projects
- Candidates must be locally based or willing to relocate
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage EHS compliance across multiple live residential construction sites
- Work closely with site management teams subcontractors and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
- Ensure full compliance with Irish HSA legislation and regulatory requirements
- Support and fulfil PSCS-related duties where required
- Conduct site audits risk assessments and incident investigations
- Maintain a visible hands-on presence across sites
Requirements
Proven experience as an EHS Manager or Senior EHS Lead within residential construction
Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and best practice
Demonstrated experience working on housing developments (essential)
Ability to manage EHS across multiple sites simultaneously
Excellent communication skills with a proactive site-first approach
