Job Summary
Your team:
The Corporate Affairs department at News UK is a dynamic and influential team at the heart of our media organisation. We manage the internal and external communications as well as the public affairs for the parent company of some of the worlds most famous news brands.
Your role:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide pivotal support to the Executive Vice President (EVP) Director of Corporate Affairs. This is an exciting opportunity to operate at the centre of a fast-paced news environment ensuring the smooth functioning of a central department. You will be a trusted partner to the EVP anticipating needs and facilitating a motivated working environment across our world-class brands.
Day to day you will:
Manage complex diaries and schedule meetings to ensure the EVPs time is prioritised effectively and anticipate upcoming requirements so they can prioritise time on a daily basis.
Facilitate a productive office atmosphere by acting as the primary point of contact for the department and manage incoming enquiries with professional discretion.
Manage the officeand administration of this small department to include processing invoices and expense claims and general team coordination
Coordinate visitors meetings and on occasions international and domestic travel arrangements making quick decisions to resolve logistical challenges as they arise.
Prioritise department workflows and anticipate upcoming requirements to ensure the executive remains focused on high-level strategic goals.
Review and edit sensitive documents with high attention to detail maintaining strict document control for both digital and physical copies.
Diary management and expenses assistance to two others in the team.
What were looking for from you:
Experience supporting senior leadership within a fast-moving high-pressure environment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the business and handle sensitive enquiries with maturity and judgement.
Advanced written communication skills with good accuracy in grammar and tone.
Innovative has a proactive approach spots opportunities for improvements and utilises AI.
Robust organisational abilities to manage a varied workload independently demonstrating the integrity required to handle confidential personal and corporate data.
A genuine interest in current affairs or politics which will help you navigate the context of the work our Corporate Affairs team delivers.
Experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office to create professional presentations and manage data-heavy documents.
Experience using expenses and travel platform SAP experience preferable.
