Trainee Fabricator

Were looking to hire a Trainee Fabricator here at Vipond working out of our East Kilbride HQ. This is a key hire thatll assist in the process of pre fabricating sprinkler pipe work to a good standard before its delivered to various UK sites

SALARY: Excellent Basic

Key Duties:

Planning and Coordination

To plan and coordinate work and time to ensure duties are carried out as effectively as possible.

• Ensure there is a sufficient amount of information and time available in order to complete work in a timely manner and without extending any jobs outside of the agreed timescales;
• Input material orders in the correct trays.
• Process delivery notes in the correct trays.
• Make lines up for stock required from Engineers promptly to ensure jobs are not delayed due to lack of stock.
• Order materials or arrange hires as directed.

Quality Assurance

To ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality at all times.

• Ensure the highest standard of attention to detail when completing all jobs but particularly when sending external fabrication.
• Ensure a high standard of accuracy when counting stock items used to the related client job.
• Pro-actively ensure job is completed to desired standards in all areas.

Communication Skills

To ensure good levels of communication at all times with both internal employees and external clients.

• Communicate effectively with all colleagues particularly those who you work in conjunction with i.e Fab shop Supervisor Project Managers/Designers and Managing Director to ensure they are fully aware of any changes or issues which could affect their work load.
