The Role

The school is seeking an ambitious and innovative DT Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5. The department is a hub of creativity and engineering excellence offering students the chance to work with a diverse range of materials including timbers metals and polymers alongside modern digital manufacturing.

You will be expected to inspire students through the design-and-make process fostering a love for problem-solving and sustainable design. Whether your specialism is Product Design Resistant Materials or Engineering you will have the autonomy to develop projects that challenge and excite students at all levels.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• A strong degree in Design & Technology Engineering or a related creative field

• Proven experience teaching DT at GCSE (A-Level experience is highly desirable)

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. 2D Design SolidWorks or Fusion 360)

• A track record of delivering Outstanding lessons with a strong focus on workshop safety

• Commitment to the schools ethos of academic excellence and vocational skill-building
