We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Geography Teacher to join a successful Humanities faculty in Norwich. Known as A Fine City Norwich offers a unique blend of medieval history and cutting-edge environmental research situated in a county famous for its distinctive coastline and the Norfolk Broads. We are looking for an educator who can utilize this rich local landscape to bring the curriculum to life for a diverse student body.

Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Planning and facilitating high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with the opportunity to teach A-Level Geography for qualified candidates.

• Enquiry-Based Learning: Encouraging students to think like geographers by investigating real-world case studies and developing their own geographical questions.

• Fieldwork Leadership: Coordinating and leading essential fieldwork opportunities from analyzing the shifting sands of the North Norfolk coast to investigating urban land use in Norwich city centre.

• GCSE & A-Level Success: Preparing students for external examinations (e.g. AQA Edexcel or OCR) by developing their evaluative writing cartographic skills and data analysis techniques.

• Environmental Stewardship: Leading on school-wide sustainability initiatives and eco-projects helping students understand their individual and collective impact on the environment.

• Pastoral Leadership: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor supporting the holistic development and academic progress of a specific tutor group within the school community.

Candidate Profile
